The Building

Alcanea is housed in a historic building dating back to the Venetian period, which served as the office of Greek revolutionary and statesman Eleftherios Venizelos for 24 years.

In the spring of 2011, the building underwent a sensitive restoration to preserve its architectural heritage. The result is an enchanting complex of terraces and patios, featuring well-preserved hand-carved stone facades, colorful ceramics, intricate woodwork, and decorative elements—all perfectly balancing tradition with modern comfort.
